Ingredients
  

Activate Yeast
  • 1/4 cup Lukewarm water
  • tsp Active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
For Dough:
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Milk powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • ¾ cup Lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp Oil
For Garlic Butter:
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Coriander finely chopped
  • Other Ingredients:
  • Cornmeal or plain flour for dusting
  • 1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Mix herbs
  • 1/2 tsp Chili flakes

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a bowl, add 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Stir in sugar and dry active yeast. Leave it for 10 minutes until the yeast froths.
  2. Add all-purpose flour, milk powder, salt, and butter. Mix well to combine.
  3. Gradually pour in lukewarm water and knead until the dough turns soft and smooth.
  4. Tuck the dough, drizzle with oil, and cover the bowl. Rest it for 1 hour in a warm place until the dough doubles in size.
Make Garlic Butter
  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with chopped garlic and coriander. Keep aside.
Making Cheese Garlic Bread
  1. Punch down the dough and knead lightly for a minute.
  2. Divide it into two equal portions.
  3. Sprinkle cornmeal on the rolling surface. Take one portion and roll it into an oval shape.
  4. Spread garlic butter evenly over the dough. Place mozzarella cheese on one half.
  5. Sprinkle mixed herbs and chili flakes. Fold the dough in half and seal the edges tightly.
  6. Transfer to a baking tray. Spread garlic butter on top and score light marks with a knife.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Brush with butter, slice, and serve hot with soup or as a snack.
Making Garlic Bread Flower
  1. Take the second portion of dough and divide it into four equal parts. Roll each into a ball.
  2. Dust the surface with cornmeal. Roll one dough ball into a circle and spread garlic butter on top.
  3. Fold it in half, then pinch the edges together to form a petal.
  4. Repeat with the remaining balls to make four petals.
  5. Arrange them on a greased baking pan in the shape of a flower.
  6. Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Brush with butter and enjoy hot, either with soup or on its own.

Notes

  • You can use lukewarm milk instead of water  to knead the dough, in that case avoid milk powder.

Step 1: In a bowl, take 1/4 cup of lukewarm water, add sugar and dry active yeast, keep it for 10 minutes to activate yeast.

Step 2: Add all purpose flour, Milk powder, salt and butter. Mix all ingredients well.

Step 3: Now add lukewarm water and knead the dough until it gets soft. Tuck dough, add some oil and cover the dough. Rest it for 1 hour.

Step 4: In a bowl, add butter, chopped garlic and chopped coriander. Mix everything well.

Step 5: Punch dough and knead again for a minute. Cut dough into two parts.

Step 6: Sprinkle some corn meal on rolling surface, take one portion of dough, flatten up and roll it in oval shape.

Step 7: Spread garlic butter on dough, add mozzarella cheese on half portion. Also sprinkle some mix herbs and chili flakes. Now fold dough and seal all the edges. Place it on baking tray. Spread garlic butter on the top, Make marks.

Step 8: Bake it on 200°C or 390°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Time may vary. Apply some butter on bread, cut it and enjoy.

Step 9: Take another portion of dough, cut it into 4 equal parts and make 4 dough balls.

Step 10: Sprinkle some corn meal on surface, take one dough ball, roll it in circle, spread garlic butter on top, fold it half and gather both edges creating a flower petal. Similarly make all the petals.

Step 11: Arrange on greased baking pan in a flower shape. Bake it on 200°C or 390°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Time may vary.
