Oreo Modak – Quick & Easy No-Bake Modak for Ganesh Chaturthi

Oreo Modak

All you need to make these modaks is oreo biscuits, desiccated coconut & some milk. Basically we are giving a new avatar to oreo cookies and adding little bit of coconut flavor to keep the touch of modak .

Ingredients
  

  • 15 Qty Oreo Biscuits
  • 1 Tbsp Desiccated coconut
  • 2 Tbsp Milk

Method
 

Prepare the Stuffing:
  1. Open the Oreo cookies and separate the cream from the biscuits. Collect all the cream in one bowl and the biscuits in another.
  2. Add 1 tbsp desiccated coconut to the cream and mix well. Add more coconut if needed to bind the mixture. Keep the stuffing aside.
  3. Prepare the Cookie Dough:
  4. Break the Oreo biscuits and transfer them to a grinding jar. Grind into a fine powder.
  5. Transfer the cookie powder to a bowl. Add 2 tbsp milk and mix well to form a soft dough. Add milk carefully if needed. For 15 Oreo cookies, 2 tbsp is usually enough.
Shaping the Modaks:
  1. Take a portion of cookie dough and roll it into a small ball. Grease a modak mold lightly.
  2. Press the dough ball into the mold. Spread it evenly from the center to the edges.
  3. Add the prepared stuffing inside the mold.
  4. Roll a small piece of dough into a disc. Place it on the base to cover the stuffing. Remove excess dough and press gently to seal.
  5. Open the mold carefully and remove the Oreo Modak.
  6. Repeat the process to make all the modaks.
Serving:
  1. Arrange the Oreo Modaks on a plate. Serve immediately and enjoy with family and friends.

OREO MODAK WITH DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS AND STEP BY STEP PHOTOS

Step 1: Open oreo cookie and separate the cream from cookie. Collect all the cookie cream in one bowl and all the cookies(biscuits) in another bowl.

Step 2: Now, add one tbsp of desiccated coconut into cream and mix it well, if required add some more coconut and bind it well. Modak stuffing is ready, keep it aside.

Step 3: Break the oreo cookies and put it in to grinding jar. Grind all the cookies and make fine powder.

Step 4: Transfer the cookie powder into bowl, add 2 Tbsp of milk and mix it well. Make soft dough.

Step 5: Take some cookie dough, roll it and make small dough ball. Put the ball inside of greased modak mold. Press from center towards the sides of mold and spread the stuffing all over the modak mold.

Step 6: Add prepared stuffing inside the mold. Make a small disc of the dough and place it on the base, remove the extra dough, Press it gently and seal the modak.

Step 7: Open the mold carefully. Oreo modak is ready, make all the modaks in similar way. Enjoy!!
